Fiery feminine energy and soulful folk collide in Jamie Mac’s raw, heart-awakening originals that stir reflection and challenge dysfunctional patterns and outdated expectations. Combining live looping, harmonies, and her signature quirky flair, she brings audiences a vibrant mix of originals, jazz, and reimagined classics mainly from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Originally from Fremantle, WA, Jamie is now based in Cape Tribulation, in The Daintree Rainforest. She is sharing her sound at local venues around the region of Cairns and performing at festivals such as Wallaby Creek Festival. Soon, she’ll be setting off on her second tour of New Zealand. Her shows are all about connection, joy, and shared humanity — with a touch of the unexpected.
Beyond the stage, Jamie is a songwriter who writes to understand life. Her debut album, The Twisted Tales We Tell Ourselves, explores the patterns and stories that shape us — and how we can find healing through honesty and expression.
Songwriting is her way of making sense of the world. It’s a space where her inner world can be heard and shaped into something real. Whether she’s singing about love, change, or the strange beauty of being human, Jamie’s songs invite listeners to slow down and feel.
With roots in music theatre and formal training in songwriting from WAAPA and JMC Academy, she brings both curiosity and craft to everything she creates.

It’s not about perfection — it’s about connection.
For thousands of years, humans have sung around fires, in tribes and communities, as a way to connect, heal, and celebrate. It’s one of the most natural things we can do.
For the past four years, Jamie has been facilitating vocal activation workshops, running choirs, creating arrangements, and coaching individuals in singing. The transformation of energy and joy she witnesses in people after a session is proof that this craft is profoundly healing, and it’s each and every person’s birthright.
This work continually inspires her and reminds her why it’s so important. When we open our voices, we open a channel to something sacred.
Coming from an academic background in music, Jamie values and teaches strong foundations — scales, technique, and healthy vocal habits — but just as importantly, she focuses on cultivating a wholesome, freeing, and joyful connection to self.
As someone who travels often and lives remotely, she now offers online community choirs and vocal sessions that you can join from anywhere. Or, if you live in the Cairns region, in person is possible!
