FIRED FOR FARTING - OUT NOW

WATCH THE VIDEO

Crank up the speakers!!! Here's an unapologetic Aussie folk-punk tune for ya! Written following a surprising workplace incident...
To be honest, at the time I was pretty indignant about the whole thing... Writing a funny song and playing it for friends helped me blow off steam! But the tune ended up taking on a life of it's own. I found the reaction it would spark from people very interesting. This song isn't just about getting fired for farting... There are so many undertones to this song, this event and this story. And it feels incredibly empowering to one: laugh at oneself and two: Own it! Enjoy it! Create with it! Have fun with it! And in doing so, strip away any shame or embarrassment.
Written in May 2025 and recorded in the Daintree Rainforest, where this happening serendipitously redirected me! 🙏🦋✨
This track features a collaboration with Alon Levy - A great musician I met in Pai, Thailand, the year before, who was travelling to Cairns at this time! I feel like the saxxy edge adds a whole other feeling to this track and I'm so grateful that it came together the way it did!
Thanks to Sean Alberts, who I picked up hitch hiking in the Daintree - He happened to be a wicked producer and musician who helped me with final edits, mix down and mastering!
And finally thank you to all the people who came and took part in this video clip:
Elliot Cahill (videography), Rob Corner (videography), Emma Granholm (judge), Silayan Fiechter (back up dancer), Karen Mills (costumes), Wynta Becker (judge), Mary Cotard (frog), Felix Njord (Where’s Wally), Siren Ella (mermaid), Mandy Hicks (colourful bandit), Philomena Wilbers (blue cheeky goddess), Jessica Moore (Sailor Moon), Leila Groszman (back up dancer),
