Jamie Mac is an Australian singer-songwriter, performer and vocal coach whose music weaves together indie-pop, folk, jazz and soul. Known for her rich harmonies, emotive storytelling and warm stage presence, Jamie creates performances that feel both intimate and uplifting, inviting audiences into moments of honesty, nostalgia and connection.
Her love of music began in childhood during starry-skied camping trips in Dwellingup and long evenings singing in the backyard at Field Street with her mum and aunties. Together they sang the golden era music they loved — songs by The Bee Gees, The Mamas & the Papas, Supertramp, David Bowie and many other timeless artists. Those early experiences planted the seeds for a lifelong connection to harmony, emotion and the way music can bring people together.
A naturally curious and adventurous soul, Jamie has spent much of her life travelling, collecting stories, songs and inspiration from the people and places she encounters along the way. With a guitar in her hands, she feels most at home. Her songwriting reflects this spirit of exploration — grounded in vulnerability, freedom and the shared human experience.
Jamie is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where she refined her craft as a vocalist and performer. Her live performances incorporate live looping, layering harmonies and playful spontaneity.
Whether performing in an intimate venue, busking on a street corner or singing on festival stages, Jamie brings authenticity, warmth and emotional depth to every performance.
In 2023, Jamie released her debut album, The Twisted Tales We Tell Ourselves, a deeply personal body of work exploring healing, self-belief and transformation. Songs such as Pindan and Sorry, Thank You showcase her ability to combine raw emotion with memorable melodies and evocative storytelling.
Beyond the stage, Jamie is deeply passionate about helping others reconnect with their own voices. As a vocal coach and choir leader, she encourages confidence, expression and freedom through singing, believing music is less about perfection and more about connection — to ourselves, to each other and to the stories we carry.
